Apple’s iOS  (iPods, iPhones and iPads) may have become the most popular portable gaming platform on the face of the planet, but what about what used to be the most popular? That was of course the Nintendo DS and Gameboy platforms. Louis Proof definitely has an iPhone and iPod but he also has an Nintendo DS. So you can be certain that he will also be getting a Nintendo 3DS.

The 3DS was announced a few months ago at the E3 expo and is the new portable Nintendo system that is in full 3D without the need to wear glasses. We in the Marvelous World are excited.

The Nintendo 3DS has not been given a release date but some of the games that will be available are The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Kid Icarus™: Uprising, nintendogs™ + cats, HIDEO KOJIMA’S METAL GEAR SOLID SNAKE EATER 3D “The Naked Sample”, RESIDENT EVIL® REVELATIONS among many other titles. As we all know fights can break out in the Marvelous World.  This one is a bit unique because it happened yesterday at the US Open. The guy was talking crazy Sh%T and for some reason a woman felt that is was her duty to assault him. Then her pops decided to try to strangle the guy and consequently get has a$$ tossed down three rows of chairs. Check it out for yourself.  I think both sides are totally eNoli!

Steve Jobs just announced the New iPod Shuffle, Nano and Touch.

The new Shuffle is now voice activated with added buttons, merging the second and third generations. It is 2GB and $49

The new Nano is totally redesigned with a full multi-touch screen

The new Touch offers 40 hours of music playback, forward and backward facing camera, Retina Display, Facetime utilization and Game Center. $299 for 8 gigs, $299 for 32 gigs, $399 for 64 Gigs.

Looks like Darrin Aronofsky is one of the main people being eyed to direct Wolverine 2. I have to admit that I never saw this one coming. If it happens it will be REALLY interesting because it would almost guarantee that Wolverine 2 would be a MUCH better film than the first one. Wolverine is a MAJOR player in the Marvel universe and although an excellent actor is playing him it just seemed that the film was not really taken all that seriously. Aronofsky will give us a Wolverine that we would never expect to see and that may scare the studio execs. We have to remember that although Aronofsky is a genius he has not had a major box office hit with million dollar VFXs. But hey, maybe he will be Marvel’s Chris Nolan. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that this happens because it seems like a long shot to me.

Earlier this month, reports emerged linking David Slade (“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”) and Robert Schwentke (“Red”) as potential directors of “Wolverine 2.” And it now appears that another director has been added to the mix.

According to Deadline, Darren Aronofsky has emerged as one of the finalists to helm the “Wolverine” sequel. In addition to previously working with “Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman on “The Fountain,” Aronofsky has also directed several acclaimed films including “Pi,” “Requiem for a Dream” and “The Wrestler.”

However, the report also states that Slade may hold the edge because “he is coming off a big summer movie with large-scale effects, which makes the studio comfortable.”

The report adds that Jackman recently met with Slade on the set of his Dreamworks film “Real Steel.” Jackman had also been set to meet with Schwentke, but he has apparently removed himself from consideration in favor of potentially directing Robert Ludlum’s “The Osterman Weekend” or “RIPD,” which is slated to star Ryan Reynolds.

Speaking of Reynolds, the report also indicates that despite the fact that Robert Rodriguez is favored to direct “Deadpool” and reportedly likes the script; a scheduling conflict between his promotional obligations for “Machete” and the ramp up towards his next “Spy Kids” sequel may make his participation unlikely.

“They are trying to make a certain small window that’s going to be tough because of Spy Kids,” Rodriguez told Deadlne. “If they push it back, it would be a lot better for me.”

At the beginning of August, negotiations between Rodriguez and Fox for “Deadpool” were reportedly getting serious. Although Reynolds recently reaffirmed his commitment to the project, Deadline notes that his recently signed deal to appear opposite Denzel Washington in “Safe House” will be filmed early next year in the time period that Fox had hoped to begin shooting “Deadpool.”

Yeah you heard it right. “Superman/Batman Apocalypse is coming to theaters this month. Don’t know exactly what that is or did not even know it was on Warner Brother’s roster? We are not surprised because it is an animated feature. It is about time that WB released one of these animated features in theaters because most of them have been pretty good. If you get a chance check out Batman: Under the Red Hood and Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.

Superman/Batman Apocalypse will get its big-screen premiere on September 21 in Los Angeles and September 23 in New York City. Based on the “Superman/Batman: Supergirl” comic book arc written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald, “Apocalypse” is produced by Bruce Timm and directed by Lauren Montgomery (“Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.” The script was adapted by Tab Murphy (“Gorillas in the Mist”).

The movie features an all-star, fan-friendly voice cast that includes returning Superman and Batman actors Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy, respectively, as well as Summer Glau (“Firefly”) and Ed Asner (“Up”) as Granny Goodness. DC/WB sent over a trio of new images from the film, which hits shelves September 28 on DVD and Blu-Ray.
